Brand & Print · Caffe Galleria

A restaurant that is also a gallery.

Logo, branding, website, menus, signage, and shirts for Caffe Galleria, a Mediterranean restaurant in Lambertville, New Jersey that doubles as a community art.

Lambertville Restaurant, Caffe Galleria project work

The goal

A true community center built around good food, friends, and the arts, Caffe Galleria stands apart from other restaurants in the area. The owner approached us to create a more dynamic and fuller website. Through the first conversations it became clear there was also a strong need to grow the visual side of the brand.

The approach

There was not enough in the old site to base a style on. It was fairly bare bones and none of it was being reused. We needed to keep the integrity of the original logo while updating everything around it. The original mark used a very similar, if not identical, font to the one we were already using, and from there it came together: a new logo, a new website, new font usage, and menus.

The Gallery section of the site features the artists whose work hangs in the restaurant and is for sale. Each new show creates a page for that artist, who can then share it to promote their own work.

Logo, signage, and menus

The logo had to work across menus, shirts, signage, and social. We provided options that all hold together while keeping the branding consistent. A new sign was designed and then handed to the folks at River Signs in Lambertville.

Restaurant menus carry a lot of subtle variation, especially when some items are offered for delivery and others only in the dining room. Some are printed professionally, while the catering and to-go menus are printed in house.

Artist pages

The site has individual pages for all the artists. Over the years we have kept building them, and they stay up even after the art on the walls has changed to the next show.
